Content
I have noticed that a lot of business owners have gained a good understanding of the value of content.
Content is free information provided to allow a prospect to get to know you better. It can be text such as articles, reports or ebooks. It can be pictures, videos or audios.
The media isn’t all that important. The important thing is that prospects are more likely to purchase from someone they know, like and trust.
So, we get into giving away content for free. You might be reading this as a free subscriber to this newsletter. If so, then this newsletter is providing me the benefit of being a way that you can get to know me… and therefore trust me more… and therefore be more comfortable purchasing from me.
One mistake I have found that many business owners make though is to play only one side of the game. They are either content providers or they are content publishers.
The content provider camp decides that it is very important to get their content published on as many web-sites, in as many ezines, and in as many offline publications as possible.
That’s great. That’s very valuable. People get to know you from reading your content on other sites. They also associate you with someone they may already know, like and trust. A link at the end of your article, video, audio, guest blog entry or whatever possibly leads them to your site where you can expose them to your products.
The other camp thinks that publishing content is best. They know that every single high traffic site is made up of other people’s content (or OPC). Google is the #1 site on the ‘net right now. What is on Google.com? Just a search box that if you enter anything into it gives you a list of snippets of OPC… snippets of text from other sites on the ‘net.
The #2 and #3 sites are usually the same. Ebay is just a list of other people’s auctions. Craigslist is a list of other people’s classified ads. Wikipedia is a compilation of other people’s content. All of them are.
You need people visiting your site to expose them to your sales message to make sales. Publishing other people’s content is a great way to do that. It is the #1 proven way used by every single top 10 site on the entire Internet.
What I don’t often notice is the use of both tactics. People often fall into one camp or the other. They see the value of publishing their own content on other people’s sites or they see the value of publishing other people’s content on their own site.
Rare is the individual that uses both tactics. That is the individual that will win against every competitor in any market.
Think about it!

Admittedly, article marketing may sound like something complicated, but on a very basic level, it really isn’t. The one and only aim of article marketing is to get visitors to visit your website through the backlink of a submitted article.
Of course, in order to successfully do that, it isn’t enough to just submit tons and tons of articles and then hope that people click the backlink. True, if you went by the quantity over quality approach then you’d probably end up getting a couple of visitors here and there, but it would be more time consuming, and less effective, than going about it the smart way.
Really, the only reason that people tend to flop at article marketing is simply because they don’t think it through from the get go.
So, in order to avoid going through the same tedious rigmarole, we’re going to look at article marketing from the ground up; from the theory right down to the practice. By doing so, you should end this eBook with a firm grasp of what you need to go out there and do, and how you can do it.

Many people are downright frustrated.
And when you look at their internet marketing strategy, it’s no surprise.
Yet, they all fall into a classic trap that can ruin your chances of online success before you even get off the ground.
Have you heard about the ultimate short-cut to success?
Ultimate short-cut? That’s right.
Many are led to believe that this is the holy grail of marketing online.
But, if this is your idea of a perfect internet marketing strategy, think again.
Here’s how it works…
It’s easy. Create a crappy product and contact every ‘sap’ who has an opt-in list of 40,000 subscribers or a website that gets a few hundred hits a day. Then ask them all to promote your stuff.
Works like a charm, doesn’t it?
If you’ve ever been on the other end of the inbox, you know how annoying this can be.
Some person who sends you 12 emails out of the blue, asking (begging) you to endorse his/her product.
For example, I recently received a similar email from someone asking me to promote an MLM product to my subscribers and customers.
First off, the email was clearly a cut-and-paste job. It might have started with “Dear Jason”, but the rest was a boiler plate email.
A big no-no when trying to get someone’s attention and win them over.
And what about the product?
For all I know, the product might have been white hot. But, MLM is the furthest thing from my subscribers minds. Not all of them, but I’ll bet at least 90% of them.
The problem here?
One word: targeting
My subscribers and customers are not the ideal target market for this particular product. If I start promoting MLM, I might as well squeeze in a “how to pick a winning stock” mailing as well.
Unfortunately, you will also see this “spray-and-pray” internet marketing strategy in other areas.
Let me give you an example.
Have you ever received an article on a topic that was no where near what you (or your subscribers/customers) are interest in?
Or, have you ever been asked to review a product that was about “snake breeding” or something way off in left field?
Have you ever received an email asking you to buy a drug that you have absolutely no use for?
The same rule applies: targeting
My advise? To really nail down your internet marketing strategy and hit the pavement running, here’s a shortlist of things to consider.
>>> Hand Pick Your Partners Wisely
Notice I said “hand pick”. Choose a few partners that you feel would be ideal candidates. Learn a bit about them and their business BEFORE you contact them.
>>> Get Personal
When you finally decide to contact a potential partner, personalize your contact with them. Add a comment about how you like their website or ezine. Maybe you are a customer who enjoyed their product.
Be sincere and it will shine through.
>>> Think W.T.G.T.D.W.M.?
People are busy, overloaded, overworked. When you send out an email looking for people to publish your article, review your new ebook, or promote your product, you need to think W.T.G.T.D.W.M.?
W.T.G.T.D.W.M. = What’s This Got To Do With Me?
Once again, if you are targeting the right partners and choosing them wisely, this question should be self-answered by the person who are contacting.
For example,
“Hi Andy. I am contacting you today because you are among the top snake breeders in America.”
If your article, product, joint venture is related to snake breeding, you are half way to the finish line already.
>>> The 80/20 Rule Is A Lie
Ever heard of this rule? 20% of people produce 80% of the results? Online, this is more like the 97/3 rule. If you are looking for joint venture partners online, 97% of people will do nothing to help you. Sure, they might seem interested at first. But, when it comes time to “play ball”, they will suddenly drop off the earth.
Your goal? Stop wasting time marketing to “everyone”. Find the 3% who will work with you to accomplish your goals and make things happen.
Tip: If you are focusing on a highly targeted market, this will happen much easier.
>>> Know When To Back Off
So, you’ve sent two emails with no reply. Is it time to call it quits? Not always. Some people are genuinely on information overload and won’t get back to you for several days (if not a week). Why not pick up the phone, make one last attempt and contact them by phone? If they fail to return your email or voicemail, perhaps it’s time to move on (see 97/3 rule above).
Remember, the name of the game is targeting. When putting together your internet marketing strategy, pick your partners wisely — aim to find that golden 3% as quickly as possible.
Take your time and get this part right from day one. It makes all the difference in the world when you are sending people something that is of real interest to them.
If it appeals to them, they will pay attention, and the boost in response you receive will speak for itself.

MySpace is an exciting online community where members can make new friends or romantic interests, reconnect with old friends, network or even find potential business partners.
While there are some MySpace members who join the community simply for the ability to stay in touch with their old friends and are not looking to make new friends.
These members may keep their websites private to not allow other users to view their personal information and may not spend a great deal of time visiting public websites of other members.
However, most MySpace members are interested in making a great deal of friends online and are always looking to generate more traffic to their website.
Create an Interesting MySpace Website
One of the simplest ways MySpace members can generate increased traffic to their website is to create a website which is both aesthetically appealing and interesting to others. The aesthetic appeal of a website can greatly influence the amount of repeat traffic a MySpace website receives.
For example members who use garish colors and fonts which are too small or otherwise difficult to read may not receive repeat traffic even if the content of their website is very interesting and engaging. This is because other members may lose interest in the website quickly.
The other part of an excellent website design is interesting and intriguing content. A website which is aesthetically appealing may entice visitors to peruse the content but if it is simply not interesting and engaging the visitors are not likely to spend much time on the website and are also not likely to return.
However, MySpace members who fill their website with exciting content are likely to keep visitors interested. When visitors are interested in the content they are likely to return and also to encourage others to visit the website as well.
Visit Members’ Websites
Another way to generate increased traffic to your MySpace website is by visiting the websites of other members. You can use the search feature to find other members who share your interests. By visiting their websites you will get a better idea of whether or not you are interested in being friends with these members.
When you encounter other members you might be interested in meeting you can sent them an email or instant message commenting on their website and asking to be added to their network of friends. You can also suggest they visit your website as well. Those who make an effort to meet other members are likely to increase their own web site traffic.
Invite Friends to Your MySpace Website
Finally, MySpace members can generate additional traffic to their website by inviting others to visit them. They can speak directly to friends and family members and encourage them to view their website.
Also, those who participate in other online communities such as message boards may include a link to their MySpace website in their signature so those who want to learn more about them can visit their MySpace profile.
MySpace also has an invite feature which enables members to send messages to others to encourage them to start a MySpace account. Members who have friends or family members who do not belong to the MySpace community can send them one of these invitations to encourage them to participate.
The invitation can include a link to the members MySpace website to give the others an idea of what MySpace really does.

Designing a MySpace website may seem overly complicated to those who have never done any HTML design in the past but it is really very simple.
Members who have advanced HTML knowledge can obviously incorporate more advanced features into their design but even those with no HTML knowledge may be able to create an attractive and functional MySpace website.
This is possible because much of the design can be done through the use of templates. This article will focus on some of the most basic design features of MySpace to give beginners a basic understanding of the features they can incorporate into a new MySpace website and the types of changes which can be made to an existing website. This article will include information on changing the background, importing images, adding music to the website and posting quizzes for other users.
Adding or Changing the Background
The background color of a MySpace website is very important because it is one of the first things visitors notice when the website loads.
If the background is garish and makes the website difficult to read, visitors may exit the page quickly. Conversely if the background is appealing it may make the entire website more appealing.
Basic HTML knowledge is required to add colors or background graphics to a MySpace profile. To add colors or background graphics go to the “Edit profile” section after logging into your account. Next enter the necessary code into the appropriate section.
To get the background to appear on your profile you should include the code in the “About me” section of your account. If you are unsure of the code that is needed, there is a wealth of information available online for those who are learning HTML.
Importing Images
Many members of the MySpace community choose to post their picture on their website. Again the social aspects of the online community encourage this action because people who engage in online friendships often want to see what their new friends look like. Including pictures is the easiest way to let others know what you look like.
MySpace members are asked to upload a photo of themselves when they first sign up. This step can be skipped and done later. Photos which are uploaded to MySpace must be .gif or .jpg files. Additionally they must be smaller than 600k. The filename for photos should also not contain spaces or characters other than numbers or letters.
Adding Music to the Website
The addition of music to a MySpace website is a very common practice. This is used both by bands who want to promote their music as well as by individuals who want to let others know what type of music they like.
The process of adding music to a MySpace website is incredibly easy. Members can visit the following web address to listen to music from MySpace artists: http://music.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music. If the artist has granted permission for others to use the music, there will be a button that says “Add” next to the song.
Clicking on this link, when you are logged into this account, will automatically add the music to the background of your MySpace website. You are only able to add one song at once to your profile but you can change the music as often as you like by adding a new song. If you already have one song and add another, the second song will replace the original song on your profile.
Posting Quizzes on the Website
Many MySpace members include fun personality quizzes on their website and publish their quiz results. These quizzes give visitors more information about the member. The members may also post a link to this quiz so other members can take the quiz and post their results in the comments page.
Different types of personality quizzes can be found on the Internet and many of these quizzes give you the code necessary to add this quiz to your MySpace website or another websites. You can copy and paste the code into the “Interests” section of your MySpace profile.

Article Marketing Service
• Doing article marketing right takes a lot of time and effort. Here are the steps we recommend when using Artemis Pro:??
1) Gather a list of thousands of publishers for your submission list (we have over 10,000 on our own list).?
?2) Write at least five articles (it takes more than one or two articles to build critical mass and really see the results).?
3) Rewrite the articles twice so that Artemis Pro can build unique articles by recombining the rewritten paragraphs (spinners don’t work and will lead to embarassment when you see your name on a bunch of computer generated gibberish).??
4) Write an “about the author” box to go at the end of the article to get that critical link.??
5) Write a compelling cover letter for use with Artemis Pro so that publishers want to publish your article.??
• You can buy Artemis Pro and view the instructional videos that come with it to learn how to do all of the above. That works just fine. We have hundreds of customers using Artemis Pro and doing all of the above to get massive amounts of traffic that they just can’t shut off. Other customers are ready for the next step though. That’s what this service is all about.??
• Every month, we do all of the above for you for five articles and submit them to our list of over 10,000 publishers who are eagerly awaiting more business articles. They are eager for them because they use the articles for content in their own publications. They always need new content.??
• All you do is provide us a URL. We’ll review your URL and write up a nice paragraph with a link to your URL that will go at the end of every article we submit on your behalf. We’ll select five articles every month from our library of business articles. We’ll write the cover letter and we’ll submit them every single month (spread out for maximum effectiveness) to our personal list of over 10,000 publishers.??
• We guaranteed the quality of the articles. You won’t be embarassed. If you want to see an example, just check out our blog here:?http://www.DiegoNorte.com/blog/??Every blog entry is an example of the quality of article we write, rewrite, and submit. Your URL goes at the end of the articles, so it’s important that they are high quality and attract visitors to your URL. We know that. We make that happen.
